Japan-based developer Ateam, the people behind Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier has just revealed new details about the development of its upcoming smartphone game. Among other things, the plan is to have a worldwide simultaneous release in 2021.
The game will be released in seven languages (!), namely Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Korean and Chinese. Ateam also touched on microtransactions, but have yet to decide on how to implement it. Instead, it will keep tabs on how the other developers do it before going ahead. While it contemplates on how to make money, the developer assured that it is looking into ways on cutting server lag to ensure the best experience for everyone. To reiterate, the battle royale shooter is exclusive for the mobile, and no plans have been disclosed on it being released for the PC or consoles. That said, the move has not been ruled out completely, as if enough users show interest, Ateam will propose the idea to Square Enix for a potential release on other platforms.
In any case for the time being, Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier is scheduled to be out for Android and iOS devices sometime in 2021, so watch this space for its release date. Be sure to check out our previous coverage on the game as well.
