As a monk or martial artist type character, Tifa has a rather simply control setup, where she is able to perform normal and strong attacks using the square and triangle buttons, respectively, as one would expect as if this was a fighting game.
In addition, by using her Omnistrike ability, the strong attack will be upgraded to a far more powerful Rise and Fall move. That itself can be upgrade further to become the Unbridled Strength ability. In other words, Tifa is able to stack buffs onto herself to be stronger as the fight progresses. It is through this mechanic that makes Tifa someone from an action title, so to speak.
As we get closer to release, do expect more tidbits of information to trickle in. Be sure to check out our coverage of the game to catch up on any information that you may have missed. Final Fantasy VII Remake is easily the most anticipated title in recent memory, and there is a lot riding on this, as its success could pave the way for future remakes of older Final Fantasy games. Of course, as we would prefer not to count the chickens before they hatch, we are going to have to wait for the first part of this multi-part series to finally make its way to a very enthused crowd of games both young and old to see how it fares first. With how much effort the developer has put into making this look and play as good as it does, one could be very confident that the game will be able to emulate the success of its predecessor.
