With the much-anticipated launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth drawing closer, Square Enix has officially released a playable demo for fans to have a slice of its action.
The demo announcement was made during today’s State of Play alongside many more details of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which lines up with the accidental leak that happened yesterday.
The playable demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available to download via the PlayStation Store and will allow fans to experience the opening chapter where Cloud and Sephiroth were allies during the Nibelheim episode.
Furthermore, the demo is set to receive an update later this month before the full game’s release on February 29, where players will be able to explore part of the Junon region, according to a PlayStation blog post.
Alongside the confirmation of a demo, today’s State of Play also unveiled new details about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s gameplay, map, exploration, minigames, and more.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on 29th February 2024.
In anticipation of the game’s launch, we got a golden opportunity to interview director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase at Square Enix HQ as well as a 5-hour hands-on play session with the game.
