Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, the mobile game based on the popular PS1 game.
According to a Tweet on the official account, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will release on September 7th ,with the game previously being open for pre registration.
Speaking of pre registration, it was previously announced that Ever Crisis had exceeded 1 million pre registrations, needing to add new stretch goals for the 1.2 and 1.5 million marks.
The title is a gacha game, where you control the cast of the original game playing through key story moments.
You won’t be pulling for the various characters, however- previous Beta tests have shown that the main things players will be rolling for will be weapons for the cast as well as passive-granting costumes.
It will also include new story events, such as chapters focusing on Young Sephiroth.
Square Enix has really been pushing the release of Ever Crisis, with the game being featured at major events like Summer Games Fest this year.
There’s also been a closed Beta test for the game that was previously released on Android.
It marks the second major Final Fantasy VII title on mobile, after the battle royale title The First SOLDIER.
