Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster will now be launching for Steam and Mobile devices in February 2022.

The steam version of the game has now been confirmed to launch with a number of pre-order items including:

- ・Terra’s Theme (Timelapse Remix)
- ・Searching for Friends (Timelapse Remix)
- ・Aria di Mezzo Carattere (Instrumental) [NOW ADDED TO PRE-PURCHASE ITEMS]

To clarify, the ‘special soundtracks’ are versions of the game’s songs that start of as the original track but gradually change into a remixed version.
Final Fantasy VI will be the last of the classic Final Fantasy games to be updated as part of the Pixel Remaster series for PC and mobile These new versions have updated sprites, alongside remixed music for an enhanced experience. Each game is now powered by the Unity Engine.
Final Fantasy VI is often viewed as one of the best games in the Final Fantasy series and one of the most important JRPGs of all time, being one of the first entries in the genre to focus on a more narrative-driven grand fantasy story and having playtime completely devoted to character development. It would pave the way for the later story-driven epics in the series like Final Fantasy VII and X.
Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster will be released in February for PC and Mobiles devices. The pixel remasters for Final Fantasy I-V are also currently available for these devices.
Older versions of Final Fantasy VI are also available for the Super Nintendo, GBA, PS1, PS3, PS Vita, Wii, and Wii U if you happen to have access to any of those.
