In celebration of the 35th Anniversary for Final Fantasy, Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy pixel remaster will be launching for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
The remaster will be available digitally for aforementioned consoles in Spring 2023 and can be purchased either individually or together as a bundle.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster consists of the first six mainline games of the Final Fantasy series, which includes Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V and VI.
Pre-order for the 35th Anniversary Edition of the Pixel Remaster is open for a limited quantity which includes the following in the bundle:
- Final Fantasy I – VI Collection – physical collection of all games for either PS4 or Nintendo Switch
- Anniversary Edition Goods Box.
- A bonus lenticular sleeve for the game package.
- 2-disc vinyl record set featuring newly arranged game music with exclusive cover artwork by Kazuko Shibuya
- A specially compiled artbook showcasing beautiful character pixel art.
- Eight stylized pixel art character figures in window packaging
Pre-order for the Physical Edition for the collection is also available and much like the Anniversary Edition, it comes with a limited quantity.

Final Fantasy I – VI Pixel Remaster is already available for Android, IOS and PC via Steam since July 2021.
