In conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the ninth installment of the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy IX, Square Enix announces the launch of a special website to commemorate the years gone by. The anniversary will be celebrated on July 7 while the website is available to view from now.
Square Enix has begun preparing for various projects including collaborations, goods, music and books specially for the 25th anniversary. Among said projects are as follows:
Commemorative Books
A special picture book titled Final Fantasy IX Picture Book: Vivi, Grandpa and The Day of Departure. It includes 44 pages of artworks and more due to be published on July 2 for the price of 1320 yen.

Special Goods
A few goods include a themed lottery for the 25th anniversary with more news yet to be announced, a collaboration with Zoff releasing celebrative Final Fantasy IX themed glasses this early July as well as 25th anniversary goods ranging from character plushies, jewelry and figurines out for purchase.
Nostalgic Music
A special anniversary vinyl titled Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Vinyl – Timeless Tale featuring a selection of iconic and heartfelt music from the game. It is due to release on July 9 for the price of 4950 yen.
Final Fantasy IX was released on July 25 2000 for PlayStation with a recorded 8.9 million units shipped and downloaded worldwide. Rumors of a remake has been speculated but none have been officially confirmed however the remastered version of the original game is available to play on PlayStation, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, iOS and Android.
