Square Enix has just announced that Final Fantasy IV will now be available on PC via Steam and the mobile version of the game will be getting a revamp.
Port Details
The Steam edition for Final Fantasy IV will be a port version of the Nintendo DS release, which is a full remake of the Final Fantasy IV distributed on the SNES back in 1991. In this edition it features “Active Time Battle” which is a defining feature of this series, was first introduced. Additionally, the “Augment” ability system, which allows abilities to be inherited from other characters has made fights more strategy-based than in past titles. Not only that, the Nintendo DS opening movie version for the game has now been implemented in the smartphone version.
In addition to the Steam release, the mobile version of the game currently available will also be updated provided to those who have purchased the app being eligible to receive this free of charge.
To commemorate the Steam version release as well as the revamp of the mobile version, Square Enix will be offering a 50% off the regular price for a limited time only which begins today on the 6th November till the 8th November for a span of three days in total.
