Bandai has announced a new Figure Rise Standard Amplified Dukemon, available now for pre-order. The Digimon figure features joints that can be extended for poses, and comes with a stand to support more dynamic action.
The figure will retail for 4950 Yen (RM190.69), and can be pre-ordered via Bandai’s web store. The figure is currently slated for a June 2021 release.
The Dukemon figure was designed by artist As’Maria, and features a slight redesign similar to other Digimon in the Figure Rise Standard Amplified range. Most noticeably in this line are the WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon figures, which featured more exaggerated proportions as well as higher detailed sculpts.
Aside from the high posability, it also comes with Dukemon’s weapons, Holy Lance Gram as well as its shield. These feature their own gimmicks, such as the Lance extending and the shield having unfolding blade effects.
The figure’s release coincides with the 20th anniversary of Digimon Tamers, the third of the Digimon series. Tamers marked the first departure from the original Digimon cast, having no ties to Digimon Adventure 01 or 02. Dukemon, also called Gallantmon by American audiences, is the Mega evolution for Guilemon.
The species Gallantmon also received a lot of fan support, being added as one of the Royal Knights alongside other Digimon like Alphamon, Omegamon and Magnamon.
