Ghostlore is an upcoming Diablo-inspired action RPG featuring ghosts and other creatures of Southeast Asian superstition. It is an indie title from two Singaporean developers, Andrew Teo and Adam Teo, and is shaping up to be a promising ARPG.
The game will enter early access on Steam in March 2022. Its official release is expected to be in the second quarter of next year. The game borrows heavily from Singaporean, Malaysian and Indonesian culture. It isn’t just the enemies—even the level design, equipment and food will be very familiar to those living in the area.
Before they take on local supernatural foes in procedurally-generated maps, players will have to pick one of six classes for their character, which are Adept, Exorcist, Feral, Geomancer, Hashashin and Sentinel. Players can mix and match skills from 3 classes for their own unique hero.
In terms of weapon choice, players can also equip a multitude of weapons for their character, some of which includes the Keris and Parang. The game also offers other systems like Glyphs and Amulets that opens up room for empowering and customising your character.
Ghostlore will be playable on PC via Steam, but a Mac and Switch release are also expected to launch in the future. For more information, visit the game’s page on Steam.
