FIFA 22 Volta Will Add Party Games To The Mix

FIFA 22 showed off their new Volta mode today, with many new features to let you enjoy a smaller scale FIFA experience in the game.

Of course, just like in FIFA 21, Volta at its base functionality will be a much faster, more offense-based spin on the regular FIFA 22 gameplay.

You’ll play in 3v3 games against the enemy team, with new Signature Abilities to let you pull off super moves against the enemy team such as a speed boost, as well as a Power Shot to help you score points when you’re in a pinch.

These will be fueled by a meter that fills up as you play through the game, so you’ll want to keep track of that to know the best time to unleash your offense on the enemy team.

The big new feature, however, is the addition of Volta Arcade. These use the Volta system to create minigames for you and your friends, and you can jump into them via online matchmaking or joining a party with your friends.

These can include fun twists like Disco Lava, or Dodgeball, and are great for the player looking for a quick way to destress from the other game modes in FIFA 22.

FIFA 22 will also add seasons to Volta, meaning there’s always a reason to come back to the game as each season unlocks new gear as well as locations for you to play in.

FIFA 22 releases on October 1st for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC.
