DelightWorks has finally made FGO Waltz always available to download, as of 8 September 2020, 18:00 JST. The title, created in celebration of Fate/Grand Order‘s fifth anniversary, is a rhythm game that features you (in theory) and Mash dancing together. There’s a fully voiced story, with the main draw being dancing with Mash and a variety of outfits to unlock based off the various Servants from the game.
The previous update we reported on – that includes more songs and dresses with motifs of Medb, Jeanne Alter, Okita Souji, Hassan of the Serenity and Altera – will be the last update for the game. Besides the addition of an AR mode, this final update also has an “Exhibition” mode.
You can spend “Dance Points” and open items to set the promenade music to any dress. There is also an “Extra” mode and dance stage selection. There are achievements you can unlock that further opens more functions, so try for a 100% achievement rating! You can exceed the S rating while in Exhibition mode to obtain more Dance Points for other unlocks.
There are also bug fixes, but those aren’t especially concerning to most players. The official notice warns that the game performance may suffer due to increased traffic, so take note on that.
After all that production value, at least FGO Waltz is no longer locked behind arbitrary limitations, so go have the dance of your life.
