Koei Tecmo has announced April 18 2024 as the release date of the second DLC for Fate/Samurai Remnant.
The DLC, titled “Record’s Fragment: ██ Sword Chronicles” was announced yesterday on both Koei Tecmo’s official website and X account, with a Steam version release of April 17, 2024 at 6 pm PDT.
No additional info or teasers has been released yet, but following the trend of the previous DLC, new gameplay elements and Heroic Spirits can be expected to make an appearance.
In our review of Fate/Samurai Remnant, we had praised it for its combat and art style as well as a pleasing and accessible look into the Type/Moon universe for both veterans and newcomers of the series alike.
The first DLC introduced the ability to play as other Master-Servant teams in a classic tournament setting, allowing players to experience both new combat playstyles and perspectives inaccessible to Iori. In tandem with the seven possible teams, unique endings for the DLC are also available depending on which pair you use to clear the tournament.
In addition, the first DLC also introduced a brand new depiction of the Divine Spirit Ibuki-Douji, who later acts as an ally servant upon completing the DLC.
