The Japanese release date for Fate/Samurai Remnant has leaked due to a new trailer seemingly being uploaded early to the PlayStation Japan youtube account, the game will launch in the region on the 28th of September.
The trailer was taken down shortly after being uploaded but it was reuploaded by RPG Site. We should note that the trailer only shows the game as coming to PS4, and PS5 however it has previously been announced for Switch and PC. This is likely because it was initially uploaded to PlayStation Japan’s Youtube Channel.
The game is an action RPG made by Omega Force, the studio behind the Dynasty Warriors Games.
As the game implies, Samurai Remnant is set in Japan. The main character is the samurai Miyamoto Iori, the student and adoptive son of the Female Miyamoto Mushashi from Fate/Grand Order (F/GO). This Musashi was introduced as originating from a parallel world (the Musashi in the main F/GO timeline is supposed to be male) so perhaps this takes place in her original timeline? We’ll have to wait and see.
Several never before seen servants have also been shown including Iori’s main servant. The trailer also confirms that Jeanne D’Arc Alter from F/GO will appear in the game, seemingly the only servant introduced so far who is not of Japanese origin.
The trailer also announced that those that pre-order the game will get an alternate costume for Miyamoto Musashi. There will also be three different limited-edition versions of the game (above images taken by Twitter user KaroshiMyriad):
