Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water, a horror game originally released on the WiiU, is coming to Nintendo Switch.
It currently has no release date, though Nintendo confirms the re-release will be heading to Switch later this year.
The game takes place on Mt. Hikami, a mountain famous for disappearance cases and rumored to be home to ghosts and spirits.
Like other Fatal Frame games you’ll be using a spiritual camera to take photos of spirits and defeat them. On top of that you’ll also have multiple characters to control, as you navigate through the mysteries of Mt. Hikami.
Similar to Pokemon Snap, just snapping photos of spirits won’t be enough. You’ll need to get clear shots of their faces, so a fast trigger finger and sense of timing are going to be paramount for new players.
Interestingly enough, this is the second big announcement related to Fatal Frame to come out this year. Albeit, though, the first announcement was a pachinko machine.
According to Nintendo, this version of Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water will also include costumes for your characters, letting you dress them up for their creepy horror adventure across the mountains. It will also include new photo modes, though Nintendo haven’t elaborated exactly what they mean by this.
