SEGA has announced that GIANTS Software’s virtual farm simulation game, Farming Simulator 25 will release a free DLC coming this May 8 featuring Tramlines, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), six new machines, and many more features and additions.
Farming Simulator 25’s free Precision Farming 3.0 DLC levels up the virtual farming experience, as it delivers realism along with brand-new features and refined gameplay. The DLC also comes with the smart farming features from previous versions of the game like Soil Types, Soil Sampling, Environmental Assessment, Economic Analysis, Yield Maps, Crop Sensors and Variable Rate Applications.

Tramlines and Subsidies
Tramlines help farmers guide machinery along the ground, as it serves as a traffic lane in the field allowing farming vehicles to drive along for more precise field management. Players can also earn subsidies by planting catch crops, similarly to real-world sustainable farming.

Pulse Width Modulation and Section Control
Players can equip sprayers with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology for smoother fertilizer application. With PWM, each nozzle works independently, spraying rapid bursts of liquid rather than a continuous stream. With this system, it regulates the sprayer’s flow rate accordingly to the driving speed and turns of the machine, ensuring a justified application of fertilizer. Additionally, the Automatic Section Control feature enables precise fertilizer application and crop protection to specific field locations, aiding in lessening wastage of resources.

Six New Machines and Retro-Fit Sensors
Six new machines will be added to the lineup of machinery offered in the simulator, including selections such as the John Deere R975i trailed field sprayer and the Wienhoff 25.200 PTW Profi Line slurry tank – compatible with the HAWE body swap system. Furthermore, existing in-game sprayers can also be retrofitted with Trimble WeedSeeker2 sensors, making accuracy for spot-spray weeds even better.

Farming Simulator 25 is available to play on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store. Visit the games official website to learn more.
