Ubisoft has revealed Far Cry New Dawn for during The Game Awards 2018. The game will launch on the 15th of February 2019.
Far Cry New Dawn is the upcoming standalone sequel to Far Cry 5. The story continues after the end of Far Cry 5 following the nuclear detonation in the ending. As seen in the trailer, the world of Hope County has changed. Unlike the previous game, the sequel has a more light-hearted feel compared to the depressing tone of the prequel.
The new game marks the first time Ubisoft is creating a direct sequel to a Far Cry game. Fans may see some resemblance to Bethesda’s Fallout series due to the post-apocalyptic setting.
In Far Cry New Dawn, players are tasked with mounting a resistance to protect the Survivor camp of Prosperity. The camp offers a variety of features such as weapon and vehicle crafting. Interestingly, the camp offers an Expedition mode. The mode will take players out of the core map and visit various landmarks of the United States of America.
Interested fans can start pre-ordering the game now on the official site. In addition, fans can also register on the site for updates. Registered fans will also receive a Survival Pack filled with healing items when the game launches.
