So Persona 5 fan @__CherryCream__ via Redditor FairyTrainerLaura found an interesting little feature in the code of Persona 5 involving the AI for everyone’s favorite cat who’s not a cat, Morgana.
Apparently, if you set your party to AI control and set their tactics to healing, Morgana will always prioritize healing Ann first. Furthermore, it was found that Ryuji will only heal Mona as a last resort, although why anyone would have Ryuji as a healer is beyond me.
Here is the Persona 5 code that displays this from the Reddit post.
Most people who play Persona 5 tend to stick to manual controls in order to stop your party from doing silly things, like hitting fire-resistant enemies with fire spells which is likely why it took so long for fans to figure out this easter egg.
It’s a small feature but a cool way of further integrating the character’s personality into the combat itself. Just from playing the first arc of Persona 5, we know that Morgana would totally heal his ‘Lady Ann’ first and Ryuji would likely leave the cat to his own devices for as long as he can (and considering how often Morgana calls him ‘pathetic’ in battle, he probably deserves it).
Persona 5 has long been a PS4 exclusive, however, it, along with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will soon be ported to The Nintendo Switch, Xbox Consoles, PS5, and Steam on October 21st.
