Mediatonic, the developer behind Fall Guys, clarified a few days ago that the game currently only on PC and PlayStation 4, in an attempt to squash all rumours that it is coming out for mobile.
Fast forward to today and the official Fall Guys Weibo account announced via a new post that Fall Guys is in fact getting the mobile treatment and that it will be the publisher for it in China. The game is open for pre-registration by following the link here.
Seeing as how the game has become essentially an overnight success, it would seem obvious that the developer would want to have it available on more platforms. Still it is rather peculiar that it would initially shoot down the idea of a mobile version only to have the publisher for it make the announcement.
Regardless, this is good news for fans of the game who need to get their fix, well assuming, you are from China. We are not exactly sure why a mobile version would be exclusive to one region, but having the game on the smartphones make a lot of sense. As it is, there are clones of the game if you look for it hard enough. Needless to say, they are either scams or just lousy knockoffs. One can only assume that the developer realised this and decided to make that mobile version a reality.
