Another one of those China exclusive releases, Fairy Tail: Power Awakens is a side-scrolling RPG from Tencent. It features a fully voiced story that starts off with adapting the manga/anime, which surprisingly enough, is a relative rarity in the world of mobile gacha games, whether or not the property in question is large or small.
Characters can equip gear, as you might expect, alongside the improvements to passive skills and be further ascended with the use of shards you can obtain from duplicates. A party can consist of four characters. They’ll set off and automatically battle themselves, occasionally encountering a battle where you can unleash a special attack. Its systems are nothing particularly groundbreaking.
If you do want to try it, with Fairy Tail: Power Awakens being a China exclusive game, you’ll be needing the associated IDs / verifications in order to play the game. For a Fairy Tail game you CAN play, you have the console RPG of the same name, or if you’re in certain Asian regions, you can play Fairy Tail: Forces Unite which launched fairly recently.
Considering it’s under Tencent, it is possible the game could be localized and brought globally, so it’ll just be a wait and see if they do decide to release it outside of China.
