Lance Teo, former Marketing Lead at Blizzard Entertainment has been appointed the new General Manager of SEGA Singapore.
According to LinkedIn, Lance Teo had announced he was leaving Blizzard Entertainment early January, before updating his position with his updated position at SEGA today.
“The Singapore station will be home to Southeast Asia and India. We are now closer to our fans, gamers and will continue to expand our presence in the region”, he says in his announcement. “Donning the famous red speedy shoes of Sonic and championing the many IPs, I look forward to working closely with the many industry friends and colleagues! There is much to look forward to!”
SEGA publicly announced the Singapore office in October of last year, saying that their objective would be better outreach in the region.
“SEGA Singapore will undertake local market research and marketing to strengthen SEGA’s initiatives within the Southeast Asian market, which is expected to grow significantly in future”, they said in a statement.
Given Teo’s statement about SEGA Singapore, that very much seems to be the scope of his work at his new job.
Previously, he had spent more than 5 years at Blizzard Entertainment, moving from Marketing Manager for South East Asia to Senior Regional Marketing Lead for SEA & India.
