South Korea-based publisher Kakao Games has just announced that it will be launching Eversoul for the Android and iOS platforms globally in 2022. Prior to its release, this collectable mobile RPG will be showcased at the G-STAR 2021 video games trade show that will be held in South Korea between 17 November 2021 and 21 November 2021.
First known as Soul Artifact during its initial debut in August 2020, the game was subsequently renamed to Eversoul in order to emphasise its theme of the eternal and immutable soul. Local startup developer NINEARK will be working on this project. Eversoul is set in a post-apocalyptic and medieval universe, where players are tasked with collecting spirits to do battle. The aforementioned spirits are portrayed in enticing 3D graphics, and you will be able to communicate and nurture them throughout your journey. The game will borrow heavily the storytelling system seen in dating simulators popularised by Japan. With that in mind, much of the game will involve you maintaining a good relationship with the spirits, who you can guess by now are represented by cute anime girls.
No detail was given on how the combat will be like, other than the fact that it will be fairly elementary and will feature progressive growth. Dungeon crawling will be staple feature here, and it will incorporate a lot of roguelike systems and mechanics if you are into that kind of thing.
