According to a report by 4Gamer, in an announcement made on its official Twitter account, Evangelion Battlefields will have its publisher changed. As a result, the game will see its maintenance extended from 5 October 2020 to 6 October 2020.
Users have been assured that all free and paid currency accumulated will be retained even after the transfer. For the uninitiated, Evangelion Battlefields was initially published by Mobcast Games, which has since handed the reins over to LIONA. Nothing about the original game has been altered in any way either, so users can continue playing like normal.
In other Evangelion news, fans in North America will be getting the series and movies in a new Blu-ray set, scheduled for release in 2021. No details were disclosed on what the dubs would be like, be it the original, Netflix or a brand new one. The Netflix version of Evangelion also notoriously had Fly Me To The Moon missing from its release, so it would be nice to see that being cleared for the physical release.
Back to the game, Evangelion Battlefields is currently available for Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan. Given the significance of the franchise, there is a slight possibility we could see an international release down the line, but we still wouldn’t hold our breath on the matter.
