Flavourworks has just announced that it will be launching Erica, its FMV-based thriller adventure, to the iOS, long after the game made its debut on the PlayStation 4 in August 2019.
The game has you taking on the role of the titular Erica, played by Holly Earl, as she makes an attempt to unravel parts of her family’s troubling past. As with these sort of games, the choices you make along the way will dictate how the story unfolds. Some of its features as follows:
- Pioneering live-action technology: Experience a new level of immersion in the live-action video, as you make choices through physical touch.
- Interactive storytelling: The branching narration means every choice affects the next scene. Frequent decisions means continuous interaction
- Innovative: With your mobile devices as controllers, there’s no barrier of entry, and allows full manipulation through a touchscreen. Swipe, pinch, drag and tilt to see what’s before you
- Cinematic: Running the length of a full feature-film, Erica offers a movie-like experience the player can shape
If you are old enough to remember the FMV adventure games that were a staple in the 1990’s, you will be right at home here with Erica. It is the kind of game that is best experienced blind, so stop reading and be sure to get on it when it comes out on iOS, assuming you haven’t played the console version already.
