Episode 5 Chainsaw Man Have Fans Squealing for Kobeni

Episode 5 of Chainsaw Man has just aired, showing off new members of the Tokyo Special Division 4 that features Hirokazu Arai, Himeno and everyone’s favourite fumbling train wreck of a character – Kobeni.

Kobeni has been a staple favourite characters for a lot of manga readers, dancing her way into thousand’s of hearts. But for first time anime watchers, this episode would be their first time being exposed to this shy and anxiety filled gal who just wants live a peaceful life.

As popular as Kobeni is right now after the latest episode of chainsaw man, it’s also worth noting that her car placed one tier higher than her in one of the manga’s popularity poll.

For context, a popularity poll for the Chainsaw Man manga took place between February 2020 and May 2020 where manga readers were able to vote once a day for their favourite Chainsaw Man characters. The results of said popularity poll were revealed in the 26th issue of Shonen Jump – a weekly anthology of majority action manga series in Japan.

The total amount of votes for the popularity poll had garnered up was 231,201 votes. Kobeni had placed 8th with a total of 9,580 votes while her car had placed 7th with a total of 9,878 votes.

And as to the reason why her car is so popular in the first place, you’ll just have to wait for the upcoming arc to find out.
