15 October will see the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2‘s biggest content update yet in “Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle”. New main missions, specializations, fixes, improvements and PvP mode are just some of the things in this update. For players without the game yet, you can try the game for free! Episode 2 is available for Year 1 pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers. All players will gain access 22 October. The changes, improvements, and new Conflict PvP mode, is already available. You can check our review here.
Players will see escalation for the Division Agents in Washington DC in The Division 2‘s Year 1 free content plan. Black Tusk continues causing havoc in the city, and players will need to fight to solve the ongoing outbreak crisis. Agents, discover the secrets inside the Pentagon before Black Tusk!
The full rundown of Episode 2’s content is as follows:
Two New Main Missions
A fellow Agent has sent a transmission from the Pentagon, scouting for the perfusion bioreactor. Securing it means being able to antiviral samples from Tidal Basin. Navigate flood damage and Black Tusk forces to take back The Last Castle. Secure the safe house, then gain access to the two replayable main missions within Episode 2:
- Pentagon: Agents will discover the location of the perfusion bioreactor inside the Pentagon’s underground research facility. Eliminate Black Tusk from the lab!
- DARPA Research Labs: Find your way to the DARPA Labs and stop Black Tusk from transporting the perfusion bioreactor through an abandoned Cold War tunnel network.
New Specialization
Year 1 pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers will instantly unlock the Technician Specialization. Otherwise, players can unlock it by completing a series of objectives. Players can also receive a signature weapon skin upon unlock. Players will receive:
- Signature weapon: P-017 Launcher – a multi missile launcher. Lock-on and hit up to six enemies depending on available ammo. Push a button and see missiles seek out targets.
- Sidearm: Maxim 9
- Skill variant: Artificer Hive
- Grenade mod: EMP Grenade
Classified Assignments
Exclusive to Year 1 Pass holders and UPLAY+ subscribers, players can access two assignments:
- Marina: Outcasts have been moving weapons and supplies into a boathouse on the Potomac River. The place was used as a transport depot during the outbreak to move assets to the Potomac Center and Roosevelt Island. Seize and investigate all weapons you can find.
- Embassy: The Outcasts have shot down a Joint Task Force helicopter filled with supplies. Agents need to locate the helicopter and rescue the pilot from the Mexican Embassy in Washington D.C. before the Outcasts get there.
