The Japan publisher for Epic Seven will be fully transferred to Smilegate Megaport. This will not be affecting the game itself, and is simply an announcement of the upcoming procedures.
Prior to this, Yostar and Smilegate Megaport were under a joint publisher contract to service Epic Seven in Japan. The notice via Yostar’s website says that this contract, first established in 2019, has been duly terminated, with operations to be fully transferred to Smilegate Megaport. The data transfer will be conducted sequentially from April 2022, with the handover to be completed end of May 2022.
To reiterate, this transfer will not require current players on the Japanese server to undergo any particular procedures. There’s no specific reason given in the notice regarding this change of hands, except assurance that Smilegate will continue to provide a high level of service as expected of them.
For the global servers, the Guilty Gear Strive collaboration is still live, available until 7 April 2022, 02:59 UTC. It’s one of many that the game has already had, with Sol available as the event 5-star unit, while Dizzy, Baiken, Elphelt and Jack O’ are obtainable through the gacha. With one week left to go, better start running if you want to obtain any of them.
And thus began the 7th World... Diche, the Goddess of Life, summoned all of her waning power and once again gave shape to the Guardians and the Heir of the Covenant.
"My children, I entrust this world to you."
