Enshrouded, another new survival game, launched in early access just last week and has now reached over one million players.
Despite Palworld seemingly conquering Steam right now, it seems that there is still room for another survival game as developer Keen Games shared on Twitter today that Enshrouded has brought in more than a million players in just four days.

In just four days, Enshrouded has attracted over a million players. We are completely blown away by its success and the overwhelmingly positive reception. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all our players. pic.twitter.com/bIWgQ5Gn5e

“We are completely blown away by its success and the overwhelmingly positive reception,” said Keen Games in response to the game’s success.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all our players.”
Not only did Enshrouded manage to seduce over a million players, but it also joined Palworld in the Top 10 of the 24 Hours Peak Most Played Games chart on Steam according to Steam data tracker SteamDB.
As of writing, Enshrouded has a 24-hour peak concurrent players of 128,985, placing just below The Game Awards 2023’s Game of the Year Baldur’s Gate 3.
Of course, both games have wildly different takes on the genre, from gameplay to visual direction.
In Enshrouded, players survive through a sprawling medieval fantasy world with methodical action RPG combat, featuring the usual ducking, dodge rolling, and parrying.
Meanwhile, Palworld took the gaming world by storm for what is essentially a survival game where you capture and befriend the Pokémon-like Pals, only to put them in violent situations or restless factory tasks.
Even so, both games are survival titles and it looks like that the genre is getting another massive resurgence this year.
