The announcement of Niosi’s departure was made through his social media channels, where he expressed gratitude to fans for their support and understanding.

Now, if you’re wondering who Chris Niosi is, he was the voice actor for Byleth in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He was later replaced by Zach Aguilar who’s also known for being the voice actor of Aether in Genshin Impact. Notably, some voice actors have spoken up and defended Niosi, most notably Jing Yuan and Sunday’s voice actors, Alejandro Saab and Griffin Puatu. Though, the former has since retracted his statement and apologized on a livestream as CyYu, his Vtuber persona.

The search for a new English voice actor for Moze is underway, and HoYoverse is working to ensure a seamless transition. The new voice actor will undergo a thorough selection process to match the character’s personality and previous voice work.
