The Emiya Gohan Switch game has received a new release date, set for 28 April 2021 according to the latest announcement on its official Twitter. It was originally meant to be released in 2020.
The game is based off of Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family, a cooking manga spinoff of the widely popular Fate/Stay Night series. The anime itself is based off a manga of a same title, which puts the historical melodrama of the Fate series aside as protagonist Shirou Emiya cooks a variety of meals for the game’s cast of characters every episode.
In that same spirit the game features a bunch of cooking minigames, cooking a variety of dishes. It features characters from the series such as Saber, Rin Tohsaka and Sakura Matou, all voiced by their anime counterparts on top of the titular Shirou Emiya.
Also note that this applies to the Japanese release, as there is currently nothing about a localized version for global audiences. If you want to not experience any more terrible gacha rates and/or just want to relax with a selection of the Fate series cast, then Emiya Gohan would be a perfect palate cleanser, so keep an eye out for that new release date and the possibility of localization.
