THQ Nordic, has just announced that Elex II, a Science-Fantasy-RPG released for Windows PC and console last year, is getting a Mac release some time in June.
The game is one of the few titles to fully embrace the GPU driven pipelines with Indirect Command Buffer (ICB) approach on Mac as well as the few games that have shaders specifically optimized for the Metal shading language.
Elex II’s open world has five major factions for players to engage with and learn more about the fictional world of Magalan with secrets, unique creatures and interesting locations to explore. Utilizing the jetpack, you can soar to the top of ancient skyscrapers or explore hard to reach places easily.
The game also features NPCs who will remember your actions and react accordingly, join or leave your group depending on your alignment, as well as being able to die which will have an effect on the story. The story has consequences and aims to immerse you in a world of moral decisions.
The game is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S and you may find our thoughts regarding the game at our review.
