Elden Ring Streamer Perrikaryal Defeats Shadow of the Erdtree Bosses with Her Brainwaves 

While everyone was letting out cries as the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring humbled them with challenging encounters, Twitch streamer Perrikaryal managed to defeat bosses with her mind.

Challenge runs are common in FromSoftware titles, but Perrikaryal’s attempts certainly stand out for a rather unconventional method. In her most recent conquest, she decided to use an EGG headset, map her brainwaves, and go to town in Elden Ring with her mind power.

In the most recent stream, Perrikaryal even managed to defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, who is widely considered one of the toughest encounters in the early part of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

How does this all work? People are understandably very skeptical of Perrikaryal’s gameplay legitimacy.

Perrikaryal, who has a Master’s in psychology, uploaded lengthy videos on YouTube explaining how the technology all works – basically, she has to map her brainwaves to synchronized inputs and train her thoughts to emit brainwaves that match events that can be translated into controls.

When playing games, she has to be deep in concentration as any other thoughts may throw her off the game like how we mispress controller buttons.

Perrikaryal also released one video briefly explaining how it works for Elden Ring, explaining that when she wants to attack in the game, she has to imagine pushing something while using items like healing, she has to imagine something falling on her.

So if Perrikaryal went on all this trouble for a challenge run with a highly unconventional control method and managed to defeat Shadow of the Erdtree bosses, which has been the topic of discussions that led to a highly acclaimed DLC having a Mixed review on Steam – then what is your excuse?
