Elden Ring Story Revealed [TGA 2021]

From Software has revealed the story for Elden Ring via a new trailer for The Game Awards today.

The trailer shows no new gameplay, but gives more context to the world and story of Elden Ring after fans have been picking away at the lore from the closed beta.

The trailer highlights several key events in the world of Elden Ring- from the Rune of Death being stolen (possibly the reason the Tarnished can’t die), as well as a war between the Demigods in the world.

The trailer also finally gives us an update on two characters not seen since the first trailer for Elden Ring when the game debuted- these are now confirmed to be General Radahn, as well as Malenia The Severed, who comes as a statue in the special edition for the game.

• Queen Marika
• General Radahn
• Malenia The Severed

While there’s been no official announcement that these would be the bosses in the game, given the nature of Soulsborne trailers, its not uncommon for the major bosses to be namedropped in trailers, as has been the tradition for the Dark Souls series introducing the four Lords.
