Nikiichi Tobita, the author of the Elden Ring: Road to the Erdtree manga series has planned to take a hiatus to play the latest DLC set to release on June 21, 2024. This will mean the next update for the Road to the Erdtree won’t be on July 19, 2024. We can all agree that we don’t blame him as many of us are looking forward to the Shadow of the Erdtree‘s release and grabbing the edge of our seats to play it when it comes out.

Road to the Erdtree is based off of Elden Ring’s story. It generally follows the main story beats of its source material, but takes a bit more of an irreverent and metatextual tone compared to the game. Given that his work is based on Elden Ring itself, it’s understandable for the manga author to take this hiatus to do his research. Don’t worry, we get you Tobita-san.
You can read the latest chapter of the manga but be warned as it’s going to take a longer time for the next chapter’s release. If you plan on reading every chapter, check out the other volumes on Amazon.
For those excited for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, in our 10/10 review, we said “The base Elden Ring is already FromSoftware’s magnum opus – truly one of the most memorable and wonderful adventures crafted after years of amazing Soulslike releases and Shadow of the Erdtree somehow elevates that level of awesomeness beyond.”
