It seems like Elden Ring fans are that much closer to finding peace, as there have been reports of Elden Ring Bosses being leaked.
Thanks to Chinese Soulsborne creator Longqi, Billibilli users have seen what appears to be concept art for bosses to be used in the upcoming game.
Longqi has since taken down the video, not citing any reasons in particular. However, quick-on-the-uptake fans have naturally saved many screenshots, which were posted by Twisted Voxel.
The first of these leaked artworks is that of a tentacled being, with many arms and a serpentine head with a face on its reverse. While it’s definitely a unique design, it’s not like it wouldn’t be out of place in any of From Software’s epics.
There’s also another enemy, who looks very similar to the character shown in the single Elden Ring trailer we’d seen so far. This lion knight carries big weapons, and has a back impaled full of swords. It should be noted this is almost definitely the same giant who appears in the Elden Ring trailer.
Naturally, there’s a lot to be skeptical about. There’s been no reports about where content creator Longqi got their information from, which is especially troublesome when Elden Ring is involved. As is, the community has been so starved for information, key opinion leaders in the community like YouTuber Vaatividya had started “design your own Elden Ring”-type contests involving making your own artwork.
Knowing that the internet is full of amazingly skilled and committed artists, we’re urging you to take these leaks with the biggest grain of salt.
However, there’s also enough to be said that these Elden Ring bosses might be legit. For one, we previously reported that the game would be at Taipei Games Show, and these could very well be assets to be used at some sort of stage presentation. There’s also the art style, which very closely matches the techniques used in previous From Software games.
There’s also the case of Longqi themselves, who is reportedly a big community figure in the Chinese Souls community. It would take a lot of confidence to stake your career on these leaks, and knowing their video existed at all is a good indication they have reason to believe the leaks were legitimate.
Finally, there’s From Software’s own history of leaks, with Elden Ring being leaked ahead of its announcement, similar to Dark Souls 3.
