A new music video has been released for the latest Ed Sheeran song ‘Celestials’ which features an appearance of a number of Pokemon.
You can watch the music video on Ed Sheeran’s official Youtube channel.
The music video shows Mr. Sheeran going about his daily life, only for the live-action scenes to be intercut with animated sections including various pokemon. It builds up to a full-on recreation of the climax of Pokemon The First Movie, featuring an animated Ed Taking the role of Ash Ketchum, launching himself between the psychic energy blasts of Mewtwo and Mew.
According to the official Pokemon Twitter account, ‘Celestials’ will also be featured in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet making this the first time licensed music has appeared in an actual Pokemon video game.

This isn’t the first time Ed Sheeran has worked with Pokemon. The British musician is a long-time fan of the franchise and has previously held an in-game performance in Pokemon Go. He also released a special message video promoting The Pokemon World Championships 2022 in London.
Sheeran isn’t the first musician to work with the Pokemon brand. Earlier this year K-pop group ITZY collaborated with Pokemon Legends: Arceus and last year Katy Perry, Post Malone, J Balvin, and Vince Staples, produced music for Pokemon 25: The Album.
