YOOZOO Games has announced Echocalypse, a new mobile RPG slated for release in Japan by the end of 2022. It has a Japanese subtitle that may be roughly translated to “God of Scarlet Red”, but for the sake of simplicity, the game will simply be referred to as Echocalypse. You can watch its promotional trailer below:
In a parallel Earth, an unprecedented crisis has occurred. A mysterious substance known as “Echo Crystals” has caused anything from unnatural growths, to crystallizing humans or turning living beings into ashes. Following the titular apocalypse, you will embark on a journey with kemonomimi girls to discover the truth behind the disaster.
There are four main “camps” from which your companions may be allied to. The playable characters all appear to be female, with supporting male characters in the mix. If you’re interested, a closed beta is likely to be had sometime in the future, so if the designs and setting interest you, do be sure to keep an eye out. Going by promotional material, you can probably assume there will be a mix of 2D sprites / splash art and chibi models, and live2D is also common these days.
