Electronic Arts (EA) has officially released EA SPORTS FC 25, the latest iteration of its popular football video game series, available now on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The game introduces several new features, most notably FC IQ and Rush. FC IQ aims to revolutionize the tactical aspects of gameplay, offering more strategic control, smarter AI teammates, and authentic collective movement in 11v11 matches. Additionally, real-world data from top football teams powers this system and introduces Player Roles that influence on-pitch behavior.
EA has integrated Rush, a new 5v5 game mode, across various parts of the game including Ultimate Team, Clubs, Kick-Off, and Career Mode. This fast-paced format allows players to team up with friends and an AI-controlled goalkeeper, putting their skills and chemistry to the test in different game types. In addition, EA SPORTS FC 25 continues to offer an extensive lineup of licensed content, featuring over 19,000 athletes, 700+ teams, 120+ stadiums, and 30+ leagues. The game includes major competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and Bundesliga, among others.
John Shepherd, VP & GM of EA SPORTS FC, expressed pride in the studio teams’ efforts to deliver this new chapter in football gaming, highlighting the social aspects of Rush and the tactical depth brought by FC IQ.
Moreover, to celebrate the launch, EA organized events across eight global locations, where football stars, streamers, and cultural icons competed in 5v5 Rush tournaments. The main event in Madrid concluded with a live performance by reggaeton artist J Balvin, who features on the game’s soundtrack.
