We first know about Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! a few weeks ago, but there were few details of it back then. However, during the Nintendo Treehouse Live that ended not long ago, we have finally got to view the first gameplay demo of the new titles!
Like what was revealed last time, Pokemon will be displayed visibly on the map so you could choose which Pokemon to fight and capture. The Pokemon comes in different size where some of them is bigger or smaller than normal, you could know by judging the aura around them – Red for the bigger ones while Blue for the smaller ones.
The size of the Pokemon you captured alters the amount of experience you earn. All the Pokemon in your party will be able to get EXP from capturing Pokemon, but the ones who appear on the battlefield will receive more EXP.
The CP value of the Pokemon is still important, you can use Candy to raise the status of your Pokemon. Also, your Partner Pokemon will wag their tail when you are near an item so pay some attention to them while you are exploring around!
The second player can join in anytime using the Link Code made of different Pokemon. Both of the players can battle or capture Pokemon together, there will be a bonus if both players are in sync when throwing the Pokeball as well. Other than that, Safari Zone is now replaced for the GO Park, where you can capture Pokemon from Pokemon GO in it.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! will launch for Nintendo Switch on 16 November.
