The servers for Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors mobile game went live yesterday. It is available on iOS and Android devices in Japan. You can watch the latest trailer for the game here:
On the Japanese App Store and Play Store, the game goes by the name “Shin Sangoku Musou“, which is the name for the franchise in Japan. To differentiate the mobile title from the series, the game is sometimes referred to as Shin Sangoku Musou App.
Last month, pre-registrations opened for the game. Players who pre-registered for the game will get SR Diao Chan in Dynasty Warriors 3 costume. Other pre-registration rewards are also up for grabs.
Just like the mainline titles, this Dynasty Warriors game features the series iconic hack and slash gameplay. In addition, it also contains gacha mechanics. Considering that the franchise has over 90 characters to date, it seems that players will have a healthy choice of characters to roll for.
Initially announced back in TGS 2020 with Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires, this game is different from the other Dynasty Warriors mobile games currently being developed by Tencent and Nexon. In particular, Nexon’s title will be coming to the west as an MMORPG.
