Dying Light 2: Stay Human has a New Trailer at Gamescom

Microsoft’s Gamescom presentation has shown as a new trailer for Techland’s new zombie action game Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

According to the developers it’s been over 20 years from the first game. Society has reverted back to a ‘modern dark age’. A feudal lawless society. People are bolder and more vicious, adorning themselves with the armor of the old world, kind of like Mad Max. Needless to say, there’ll be more to worry about than zombies on the streets. You’ll be fighting way more humans.

The trailer also highlights the upgraded parkour system. There will be twice the number of parkour moves compared to the first game. The developers say that they’re particularly proud of the volt kick which if performed correctly will allow you to stun enemies. If you’ve played Mirror’s Edge, it sounds quite similar.

There’s also a faction system with different sides you’ll encounter and have to chance to ally with or fight against. How that’ll change the game is yet to be seen but it’s ultimately up to you.

Dying light 2: Stay Human releases December 7th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC
