Dying Light 2 has been delayed. A letter penned by Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka had announced the delay of their highly anticipated sequel to Dying Light on Twitter.
On top of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Marvel’s Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077, this is now the fourth huge title that has been delayed in 2020. The general response of Twitter fans seems to be understanding, saying that delays are better than rushed games, despite the back to back announced delays this January.
There could be a number of reasons for this delay. The widened scope of Dying Light 2 could be a significant factor regarding this issue. The intended core gameplay mechanics would be for the environment and story to change based on your gameplay choices, which does not seem to be a small feat.
Unfortunately, this time there does not seem to be an expected release date for Dying Light 2 just yet, but stay tuned to find out more in the future. To all our readers, the best we can do is to keep an eye out for future articles for when the new release date will be announced.
