A new mobile rogue-lite action game, Dungeon of Despair, will be released on smartphones in Summer 2020. Published by iCan Entertainment, players will be exploring the titular dungeons with up to 3 other players at the same time, incorporating action-battle elements and real time strategy. There will be two modes, appearing to be solo and multiplayer modes. In the latter, rewards will be given out to those who manage to survive till the end of the dungeon. The pre-registration campaign will reward a “rare” character, the Samurai.
Featuring a “retro” pixel art style, utilize your magic to make your way through the ever-changing dungeons. The strongest magician in history, “Media”, disappeared from the world. Years later, dungeons began appearing, swirling with power, apparently the legacy of the magician for future generations. Adventurers jumped on the chance to explore these dungeons, supposedly receiving the magician’s great wisdom and power should they make it to the depths of the always-shifting dungeons.
There’s no mention of an English version, but it will be free to play with in-app purchases, presumably to unlock more characters to play or for supplies and items. If you like something like Enter the Gungeon – which itself has a mobile sequel in Exit the Gungeon on Apple Arcade – you might want to try this out.
