Following its initial announcement back in 2017, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is out for the Android and iOS platforms for users in China and South Korea. Nexon is the publisher for the game in South Korea, while Tencent is overseeing its launch in China.
For the uninitiated, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is based on the Dungeon Fighter Online MMORPG which first came out way back in 2005, where it has since remained a cult classic. This side scrolling beat em up has players being able to select from five classes, namely Fighter, Oni Swordsman, Mage, Gunner and Priest. To accommodate the projected influx of players, the developer has set aside a total of eight servers, each capable of handling up to 1 million users concurrently.
In addition to its PVE, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile also boasts a robust PVP system which was one of the hallmarks of the original game as well. Of course, if you rather just actually beat people up, Nexon is also working with Arc System Works to develop a fighting game which is scheduled to launch sometime in June 2022. For newbies to the series, either option should prove worthy of your time, although of course the mobile version has the benefit of being a free to play title.
