Square Enix has revealed more information for Dragon Quest Treasures, this time detailing more on the six islands that make up Draconia.
Excluding The Central Hub Island, you can traverse the five islands with their own unique biomes and monsters to hunt for treasures. Each island is served by several train stations and you travel to each of it directly from your base station after repairing these train stations.
The Paternoggin
The island where you will start your adventure in Draconia. The island has an upper level featuring plains and a dilapidated factory as well as a lower level full of forests and caves. You can traverse between the two levels with the cable car on the island.
The Maneland
The island with raging sandstorm wearing away the rocks at the outcrops of Maneland and massive skeletons protruding from the dust. This land of blustery dunes and sand rivers is where only the hardiest of the monsters can survive
Cinderback Ridge
Volcanic island at the west of Draconia with rivers of molten lava and sheer cliffs. The floor is flooded in the central region of the island and some of the strongest monsters in Draconia reside there. Colossal red cacti also grow here and sightings of it tells that you are at the centre of the island.
The Wingswept Mors
The island of open plains with refreshing breeze for inhabitants of the island. Jutting out from the plains is Mount Greywing with its cooling mists and poisonous swamps where monsters lurk.
The Hinterquarters
The frozen Lake Swishmelt marks the southern section of the island with its harsh wintery climate. The blizzards make some regions in the island uninhabitable and yet many monsters relish the sub-zero temperatures and stomp about in sheer defiance.
Dragon Quest Treasures is a treasure hunting RPG by Square Enix set to release on December 9th, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are open now, offering lots of in-game bonuses.
