The official DRAGON QUEST TACT Twitter has revealed it will launch 16 July 2020 in Japan! For the uninitiated, DRAGON QUEST TACT is a mobile SRPG. It will be free to play for both iOS and Android devices. The game had launched a beta testing period, in which they had gathered plenty of feedback in regards to improving or polishing the game. Some of the comments regarding the beta included:
- Praising quality of 3D graphics
- Much replayability
- Low rarity characters are still usable in content
- A casual tactics game that doesn’t lose the spirit of Dragon Quest
- Not too difficult, and comes with auto function
- Intuitive controls
- Enemy details cannot be checked on placement screen, among other battle-related grouses
- To be changed for the full release
- Equipment can be upgraded but may be too random and too low a chance, and no tutorial
- Also to be updated accordingly
- UI to see various changes as well
The changes were promised to be implemented, so players can look forward to seeing how the game has developed since the beta. No direct announcements regarding pre-registration rewards were mentioned, but we can probably expect DRAGON QUEST TACT to have at least a launch event of some sort. We’ll have to hold out hope for an English release in the future, but you can give it a shot once it releases in Japan.
