The latest movie in the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be coming to cinemas in Malaysia on August 30th. Just before Merdeka Day!!
This was announced by local cinema chain TGV on their Facebook Page.
#DragonBallSuper: SUPER HERO coming to TGV Cinemas 30 August!”
The movie recently premiered in Japanese cinemas on the 11th of June, meaning that local cinemas are getting the movie just over two months later. It’s good to see it being localized so quickly, usually, anime movies take far longer to leave Japan.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a sequel to Dragon Ball Super: Broly. This means that the movie will be canon to the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga as well as the greater Dragon Ball timeline as a whole.
The movie seems to have been animated in 3D CGI as opposed to the series’ usual 2D animation. This will be a first for the series so it’ll be interesting to see how it makes use of the new style. Many anime fans look down on CG animation however shows like Beastars and Land of The Lustrous have shown that it can be done well.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be arriving in cinemas around Malaysia on the 30th of August.
