Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have released a free update for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, adding full split-screen support and numerous quality-of-life (QoL) enhancements across all game modes.
Previously limited to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber map, split-screen functionality is now available for the entire game, a long-requested feature by fans. The update also includes adjustments to gameplay mechanics, balancing tweaks, and new features to improve accessibility and customization. Key additions include a new quick-movement action called “High-Speed Dragon Dash,” customizable team settings, and improvements to camera control and battle options.

As previously reported, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero shattered records, selling over 3 million copies within 24 hours of release and amassing a peak player count that surpassed past titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. During its launch week, the game boasted 60,000 to 70,000 active players daily, underscoring its glowing popularity at the time.
