Dota: Dragon’s Blood will be receiving a Book 2, as announced via the Dota 2’s social channels. It’s actually been something previously hinted at before, now with official confirmation. There’s nothing to indicate what this next “book” could contain, but we should be able to expect it to pick up the plot threads left from Book 1.
We’ve reviewed Book 1 here, as well as had an interview with screenwriter Ashley Miller here. It’s time for the waiting game for Dota: Dragon’s Blood Book 2, to say the least, which one hopes would be longer.
Besides the renewal of the anime series, Free to Play is also now available on Netflix, years after its initial release on 19 March 2014:
Free to Play is a feature-length documentary that follows three professional gamers from around the world as they compete for a million dollar prize in the first Dota 2 International Tournament. In recent years, e-sports has surged in popularity to become one of the most widely-practiced forms of competitive sport today. A million dollar tournament changed the landscape of the gaming world and for those elite players at the top of their craft, nothing would ever be the same again. Produced by Valve, the film documents the challenges and sacrifices required of players to compete at the highest level.
Give the documentary and watch, and perhaps you too can understand the love people have for this game.
