Did you sign up for the KARTRIDER: DRIFT CBT 2? For those who have registered, it’ll be running for a week from 4 to 10 June. Racers will be able to zip around seven new tracks added from the first closed beta test, as well as new karts – like the Marathon Kart, designed for speed tracks – and customize them accordingly at your own taste! The closed beta will be available on Xbox One and PC, with cross-play available, as advertised. Kart racers, get ready at the starting line!
Even if you’ve missed out on signing up for the KARTRIDER: DRIFT CBT 2, fret not. There is an additional sign-up period going on right now which last until 8 June 9:00 (GMT+8)! More details will be announced at 15:00 (GMT+8) on the same day. So let’s look forward to it!
Try out either one of the two main gameplay modes: Speed Mode and Item Mode. If you’re confident in your drifting and driving skills, then Speed Mode will be the one for you. If you prefer something more familiar, you’d likely find it in Item Mode, with power ups for yourself or debuffs galore against your opponents. You can play both these multiplayer modes solo, but you can also play with your friends as a Duo (two players) or as a Squad (four players).
Seeking a true high skill challenge? Speed Mode. Something more casual? Item Mode. Polish your drifting skills with the singleplayer Time Attack mode, where you are pitted against your previous best time. If you need to refresh learning the controls, ease yourself back in with the Racing School.
There’ll be some perks for joining this closed beta test too, besides getting in the practice. The full list of rewards includes:
- White Cloud Balloon an exclusive cosmetic that follows you around, obtainable by CBT 2 participants in the full launch
Additionally, daily login items that racers can claim and enjoy during CBT2:
- Turbo Tortoise Kart – 4 June 07:00 to 5 June 07:59
- Bunny Buggy Kart – 5 June 08:00 to 7 June 07:59
- Simian Scrapper Kart – 7 June 08:00 to 9 June 07:59
- Deuce Coupe Kart – 9 June 08:00 to 10 June 21:00
*(GMT +8)
As mentioned, there will be new karts you can try out in this second closed beta, such as the Marathon Kart which is designed for speed tracks. Endless customization awaits for you to kit out your kart, from simply changing the colour to swapping out your wheels, boosters, license plates and more! Though while you have the kart, you’d need your characters to drive the karts too! Four will be available: Dao, Bazzi, Brodi, and an all-new racer, Diz. These characters can also be customized with skins so that you can really show off your style and stand out from the crowd.
Ready, set, and let’s go!
